About Us

Amy Beyer

PHILOSOPHY:

I will look at you as a unique individual and treat your whole body by developing a systematic approach during each session with multiple treatment techniques. It is vital that you are given the tools needed to remain healthy and symptom free. I give every client the tools that they need through home exercises that simulate what is done during a session. This allows you the ability to perform these exercises in order to remain looser and relaxed between sessions. By combining my athletic training and massage backgrounds I am able to guide you in your own individual healing process during each session and with home exercises.

TRAINING:

In 1997, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Winona State University in Winona, MN. I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. I always had a dream of pursuing a career in massage therapy. Well, that dream came true in 2003 when I graduated from the Milwaukee School of Massage in Milwaukee, WI.

Prior to pursuing my massage and bodywork profession full-time, I worked in two different rehabilitation clinics. While working in the clinics I guided my clients in their recovery from acute and chronic pain. These clients were able to leave my care with an improved function in their daily lives, increased range of motion and an improved sense of body awareness. This rehab experience allows me to look at you as an individual and develop a specific treatment plan to meet your goals. This may include exercises that can be performed at home in order to maintain and eliminate restrictions in the body. Since graduation from massage school, I have pursued continuing education seminars and I am very proud to specialize in Myofascial Release.

I have also performed ergonomic work site assessments and will educate you on proper desk set-up and body mechanics.
